In most departments at the University of Tennessee, curricular tracks have been formally developed for particular study focuses or specialties. These are referred to as "concentrations".
The Department of Plant Sciences (PLSC) offers a major leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Sciences Systems with four concentrations:
Course requirements for each concentration
Each concentration offers a different approach
to address the breadth of opportunities
available to undergraduate students in plant sciencs and arts.
A
minimum of 124 credit hours including internship
is required for each concentration. Fulltime
summer internships are available at
selected local, regional, and national companies
or institutions. Part-time summer or semester
internships are available inthe Department of Plant Sciences,
other university departments and laboratories,
and local commercial firms.
