PS Major wins Outstanding Civic Organization Grand Award   9-25-08
Check out our own Julie Hogg, who, while pursuing her PH degree at UT, has put her education and passion into action with tremendous results. She is the founder and current president of the Alpharetta Arboretum in GA , a new non-profit, which just won the Georgia Urban Forest Council’s ‘Outstanding
Civic Organization Grand Award’!!!  

Plant Sciences Major awarded Herb Society Scholorship      5-16-08
Amanda Plante, who will be a sophomore majoring in Plant Sciences, was awardedone of the Herb Society of Nashville's Scholorships of $1000.00 for the 2008-2009 college year. Congratulations!

Plant Sciences Major to intern at U.S.' foremost public Gardens      5-12-08
UT Institute of Agriculture,senior Amanda Hannah studies public horticulture and landscape design. This summer she’ll put her knowledge of both of those fields to work as a paid full-time intern at the U.S. premier public gardens, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Penn. More>>

UT Turf Team 4th Takes Annual TenneArk Cutter Cup Trophy   11-13-07
Winning UT team: William Newsome, Tony Cortez, and Brock Turner. Landon Clark and Josh Cooper. The tournament was played at Tennessee National in Sweetwater, TN. UT won the match play tournament 3 to 2 to capture the 4th annual TenneArk Cutter Cup Trophy. More >>

Marci Turner Honors Turf Student Marci Turner Named NGCA All-American            5-29-07
Marci Turner, junior in turfgrass science & management, was named NGCA All-American after the NCAA Championship Tournament May 25, 2007. Turner became the first Lady Vol to win the Edith Cummings Munson Golf Award since 1994. More >
